After School Program

What sets us apart from other tutoring programs is our individualized academic coaching.

We have creatively developed and implemented a coaching system that has resulted in improved grades, greater student engagement in school, and increased motivation toward learning.

Each student is assigned a coach throughout the duration of the student’s enrollment in our program.

To ensure student success, coaches proactively partner with parents, teachers, and school administrators, maintaining constant communication with them, to create a more holistic educational covering.

With permission from parents, coaches have access to student’s grades, test scores, and homework records. Coaches closely monitor student progress in each class and provide accountability and encouragement.

Each student is also paired with a private tutor. The coaches train and guide our tutors so that they can effectively teach our students.

We’re glad you asked! We have MANY fun activities that supplement our core academic program. Our students enjoy field trips to places such as the beach, ice skating rink, and colleges. They participate in hands-on activities such as painting, pottery, science experiments, taekwondo, volleyball, cooking, balloon art, and so much more!

We accept students in 4th to 8th grade.

The tuition is $200 per semester for our After School Program.

Partial and full scholarships are available as needed. We are committed to provide access to quality academic support to all students, irrespective of family income.

We are able to keep our program affordable because of the generous support from The Garden Church, corporations, and individual donors.

Our After School Program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm at The Garden Church in Chatsworth, CA.

The answer is “YES!” All of our students love attending our program. At GLC, we work hard AND have fun. What students love most is our joyful atmosphere, friendly tutors, yummy snacks, rewards, and cool enrichment activities.

Results matter to us. Working with our coaches and tutors, our students have significantly improved their grades, increased their motivation, and expanded their dreams. We empower our students with encouragement, quality academic help, and sustained accountability. Coaches regularly communicate with parents with updates to keep them in the loop.
