Registration for 2024 Summer Academy will be available in the Spring of 2024

 

Garden Learning Center’s Summer Academy combines individualized academic instruction with fun enrichment activities that expand our students’ horizons. At Summer Academy, students make new friends, explore new interests, and prepare to start the upcoming academic year with confidence.

 
 

Academics

 

In the mornings, students develop their English and Math skills.

  • In-depth assessment of math and reading levels

  • Individualized learning paths based on students’ levels

  • Supportive instruction from professional educators and private tutors

  • Carefully curated library with books that kids love to read

 

Enrichment

 

In the afternoons, students engage in fun and interactive enrichment activities.

  • Cooking Around the World: Students will take a culinary trip around the world. They will learn about diverse cultures while they cook and enjoy the food and flavors of different countries.

  • Mastering Art: Students will learn to draw, compose, and create stunning works of art. They will be exposed to masterpieces, fun art mediums, and art materials as they learn and grow in their skills and confidence as artists.

  • STEM: Students will engage in hands-on STEM activities and projects that will develop their creativity, problem solving skills, and understanding of the natural world.

  • Junior Olympics: Students will go for the gold as they compete in a variety of fun team building games and sports.

  • Quality Tutoring

    Each student is paired with a private tutor. Together, they address learning gaps and prepare for the upcoming academic year. Our students start the fall semester with confidence and a head start.

  • Garden Learning Center Library

    Our library at the Summer Academy is carefully curated with the most popular books for young readers. There’s something fun to read for everyone.

  • Arts and Crafts

    Thanks to our talented art teachers, students have a blast expressing their creativity through pottery, sewing, painting, and drawing.

  • STEM Projects

    Through hands-on experiments and activities, students expand their curiosity and understanding of the natural world.

  • New Friends

    One of the best parts of Summer Academy is making new friends.

  • Volleyball

    Students learn and practice volleyball fundamentals such as passing, setting, hitting, game tactics, rules, and conditioning.

  • Reward Center

    Students earn Garden Bucks for completing their daily math homework and reading at home. Then, they go “shopping” at the GLC Reward Center.
